2. Install the orifice to test the straight line of the water column, and then install the sand mixing pipe;

3. Debug with low-pressure sand-free water until the sprayed water column is in a straight line without scattering, which proves that the sand mixing tube and the gemstone nozzle are absolutely concentric before adding sand and pressurizing the normal cutting;

4. After using the sand mixer for 10-20 hours, please rotate the sand tube 120 degrees.

2. Factors affecting the life of waterjet abrasive nozzle

1. The optimal  proportion of the inner diameter of nozzle and orifice, the best proportion is 1:3.

For example: the inner diameter of the waterjet nozzle is 1.0mm, then the inner diameter of the ruby orifice should be 0.33mm. This ratio has been tested a lot, the cutting is the most powerful, and the mixing tube wall wear is the least; (Note: If the pressure and flow cannot reach If so, take a smaller orifice)

2. The particle size and quality of the sand, too coarse and impurity sand will accelerate the wear of the focusing mixing pipe;

3. Dirty, hard, and insufficiently filtered water can easily destroy the ruby orifice under ultra-high pressure, and the sprayed water will scatter and quickly damage the inner wall of the abrasive nozzle;

4. The main influencing factor is the concentricity of the orifice and the sand mixing tube.

Even a slight difference in the concentricity will cause the sand and water to deflect and then hit the inner wall of the water jet nozzle, and cause rapid wearing, as well as it leads to poor cutting and slow speed.

Note: Please check whether the inner wall of the cutting nozzle is smooth before use. If it is not smooth, please contact us immediately for replacement;

 

 

Normally the performance of the nozzle is affected by the below factors:

1. Poor water quality causes abnormal damage to orifice, thus damaging the cutting mixing tube;

2. The design of the water jet orifice or the combination of the orifice seat is not good, and the water arrow is not normal;

3. The orifice seat has been worn out, causing turbulence, and the water arrows are not concentrated;

4. The design and working accuracy of the cutting head are poor, and the cutting orifice still has displacement before and after each installation, causing the center of the water arrow to be incorrect;

5. The sand-water mixing space is poorly designed, causing turbulence;

6. The design of the cutting head is poor, and the force when the gem seat is fixed is different, which causes the direction of the water arrow to shift and damage the sand pipe;

7. The steel and crafts used for the cutting head or gem seat are not up to standard, which makes the accuracy change rapidly and causes the water arrow to drift.
